The Iona College Alumnae Chapter gathered on Sunday, November 15 for its third annual Spa Day.  The day of pampering was held in the Hynes Athletic Center where spa treatments such as manicures, facials, consultations and massages were offered.  The environment in the gym was relaxing - filled with candles, music and wine, an array of catered food from campus caterer Chartwell's and plenty of space for alumnae to socialize with friends and family.

Liz Donroe from Instyle Design had a display of handbags and jewelry ranging from $12-$295.  A collection of designer perfumes such as Burberry, Prada, and Chanel were also available for purchase. Clinique (from Nordstrom) offered women makeup consultations fit for every skin type and lifestyle; also available were facials.

Women's tension and stress was relieved after receiving back and neck massages from Nyack Massage therapists.  Linda Garnett, a 1989 alumna, said her massage was "heavenly” and she was "looking forward to it since last year." This year marked Garnett's third attending the event, saying that "it's well worth the price."

The ladies enjoyed different types of treatments such as getting a personalized bra fitting from consultants from Nordstrom. Fitting rooms were available for full bra fittings and the experts were there to educate women on what types of bras to wear with their everyday wardrobes.

During the event, Dr. Warren Rosenberg, Iona’s provost/vice president for Academic Affairs, spoke about the human aging process and gave tips for staying young and healthy. Women were very engaged in the video and PowerPoint he presented and appeared extremely interested in the topic.

Spa Day turned out to be a successful and relaxing day which women of all ages enjoyed.  This event was a great way for alumnae to reconnect with old friends, as well as spend time with friends and family. Some alumni have been attending the event since it started, while others it was their first year. Either way, all of the women were excited to experience what the day had to offer.
